Office of Electronic Communications undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

The declaration on accessibility shall apply to the UKE PIT website.

The website is partially compliant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the following inconsistencies or exclusions:

  1. Lack of alternatives for some non-text content,
  2. Incorrect hierarchy and structure of headings,
  3. Lack of subheadings in the content,
  4. Ambiguous links,
  5. Ambiguous header names,
  6. Insufficient labels/button content,
  7. Lack of labels for fields and buttons in some forms,
  8. HTML validation errors.

The declaration was made on the basis of a self-assessment carried out by a public entity.

The website allows the use of standard browser keyboard shortcuts.

The same channels can be used to submit requests for inaccessible information and to file complaints about the failure to provide accessibility.

Anyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or some element thereof to be ensured. It is also possible to request access to information in alternative forms, such as reading of a digitally inaccessible document, describing the contents of a film without audio description, etc. The request should include the contact details of the person submitting
the request, an indication concerning which website or mobile application is being requested, and
a method of contact. If the requesting person expresses the need to receive information in an alternative form, they should also specify the form of such information.

The Office of Electronic Communications shall execute the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, UKE shall inform immediately when it will be possible to execute the request, but the deadline cannot be longer than 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, UKE may propose an alternative way to access the information.

In the case of refusal to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative access to information,
a complaint may be filed against such action.

After having exhausted all possibilities, a complaint may also be sent to the Commissioner For Human Rights.

At the office, there is access to remote sign language translation from Monday to Friday from 08:15 to 16:15 and on designated non-working days, provided prior demand notification. Go to the online sign language interpreter.
